Who are we?The Postie Bike Club of Australia (PBCA) consists of around 25 dedicated members, excluding satellite chapters. The group consists of a variety of backgrounds and ages, but with one similar passion, the Postie Bike. Formed in late 1999 the group is made up of highly motivated postie bike riders with a view to touring Victoria and beyond. Our major tours so far have been, Tasmania, South Australia and Birdsville. Our aim is to tour all areas of Australia on unmodified postie bikes. No modifications is one of the core elements of the club. |

What is a postie bike? A postie bike is a Honda CT110, as used by the elite members of Australia Post for delivering mail. The basic design of the bikes has not changed much from the original C90s that came out in the 1960s. New Australia Post bikes spend the first 26000km or so, delivering mail and outrunning the neighberhood dogs before they are auctioned off. Read more about postie bikes. |
